Toys for Tots 2017 A Huge Success!

 

Thanks to the Davison, Fenton, Lapeer Noon, Lapeer Sunrise, Mt. Morris and Owosso Clubs for joining Flint Kiwanis and donating toys and cash gifts for Kiwanis Division 17's Annual Toys for Tots Campaign. Also thanks to Lt. Governor Tod Sorensen, Rev. Tom Wachterhouser and his wife Beth and the Toys for Tots representative Don Dale for today's program.

A very Special thanks to Target Corporation's new member Kim Mills and President Joseph Shelby who so graciously reflect the Target Corporations generosity with their commitment to Kiwanis and Community Service by providing TONS of Toys for Genesee County Kids! (Since 1946, Target has given five percent of its profit to communities, which today equals millions of dollars a week).

Flint Athletic Committee Member Gary Langdon introduces Our October Female Scholar Athlete of the Month, Taylor Shegos!
Taylor attends Fenton HS and is outstanding in Diving and Swimming having made 1st Team All-League for two years and 2nd Team one year; First Place County two years and 2nd Place one year; First Place Regionals; All State (2 years) All -American and M-Live Swimmer & Diver of the Year. Taylor has made Honor Roll every semester and is a member of the NHS.

Flint Kiwanis Athletic Committee Member Gary Langdon introduces our November Female Scholar Athlete Lauryn Gibbs.
Lauryn from Mt. Morris HS is an outstanding Volleyball Player and Scholar having made the Honor Roll every semester andbeing on the National Honor Society.

Ms. Gibbs has been voted First Team All-League for three years, AAU All-American, made the USA Volleyball National Team, Under Armor 2nd Team All-American.

Lauryn has accepted a scholarship to play volleyball at Michigan State University.

We meet every Thursday at 11:45 AM in The Hunger Solution Center located in the Food Bank of Eastern MI 1939 Howard St, Flint, MI 48503. 

 

             Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. The Kiwanis Club of Flint Michigan is dedicated to serving the local community through various service and fundraising projects. Our club has been in service to our community for more than century. We are part of Kiwanis International, an organization serving children for over 100 years.
